Referred to as Form BT-129 by the Oklahoma Tax Commission, the tax power of attorney document allows a resident to choose someone else to handle their State filing. The document is recommended to be used when hiring a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Tax Attorney to handle the filing on your behalf but may be any person you deem fit for the responsibility.
- Unlike all other power of attorney documents in the State, this form does not need to be signed in front of a notary public for it to take effect. All is needed is the principal’s signature.
