With a North Carolina general power of attorney form a resident may have the same powers to select a representative, referred to as an ‘Agent’, to make monetary decisions on their behalf as the Durable Form. Except that the General does not remain valid or have ‘Springing’ ability due to it not being valid any longer if the principal becomes mentally incompetent.
