Through the Montana statutory financial power of attorney, a person, known as the ‘Principal’, may name a trusted individual as your ‘agent’ to manage your business decisions, transactions, and assets. Therefore the individual chosen should be available within the immediate area when and if the time comes to superintend your affairs. The most common people given the designation are the principal’s spouse, close friend(s) or relative(s) (if the husband or wife is chosen it is important to note that the designation does not automatically end with divorce as in most States).
