Otherwise known as the 2848-ME, the form allows for a person to handle another’s tax return filing within the State of Maine (Department of Revenue). Typically it is an accountant or tax attorney but can be any person you wish. The document is typically attached to the tax filing and the form must be completed and signed with at least two (2) witnesses or a notary public for it to be accepted by the State.
