The limited power of attorney document is used to assign specific financial task(s) to a willing agent looking to act in the principal’s best interest. The form usually voids upon the completion of the task, at a specific time, or upon the incapacitation of the person being represented.
The agent may act in the same manner and be listed for any or all of the same powers as the general financial power of attorney but usually is listed with restrictions.
